Privacy

Forgor holds dates. It is built so that the smallest possible amount of anything else passes through it.

What we keep

The dates you keep, and what you told us about them: a name, a kind, a day, whether it repeats, how far ahead you want the nudge, and any note you write. Your household, and who is in it. An email address and name for your account, so that you can sign in and your household can find you.

Your contacts and your photos

When you bring in birthdays from your contacts, only the birthday and anniversary fields are read, and the reading happens on your phone. When you scan a photo, the text is read on your phone. Nothing is uploaded in either case — only the date you choose to keep is saved.

Mail you forward

Each household gets its own forwarding address. Mail sent there is read by an automated model to find the date in it, and is not stored. What is kept is the date itself and an excerpt of at most 140 characters, so you can see where the date came from. Mail from an address that is not yours is dropped without being read.

What we do not do

There is no advertising in Forgor, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing. Your dates are not used to train anyone's model.

Who else touches the data

Forgor runs on a small number of providers that handle sign-in, storage, mail delivery and the date extraction above. They process the data on Forgor's instruction and for no purpose of their own.

Deleting it

You can delete any date at any time. Ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it goes with it. Write to hello@forgor.app.

Children

Forgor is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so rather than quietly updating this page.
